Hulkageddon 2009 makes the news!

October 30th, 2009

…And I got zero credit for all my hard work! D:

But it’s still nice that it made it to the newspage!!

Check it out!

Of course I will be organizing more events soon enough. And next time we will kill many, many MORE Hulks if that’s what it will take!!

Edit: we got some delicious tears in a thread that the beloved Applebabe swiftly closed:

Next time, make sure you send a notice to the ISD people in advance so they can have someone around to monitor events and get the right contact's name from the get-go. Was Kobra the one who they contacted? Is that why he's quoted? Never leave it up to THEM, you take the reins from the get-go next time. I wrote to complain about you not getting credit but they've not seen fit to update the news item with a post-script.

    Nice work though!

Kobra got a list of question from them, INCLUDING the question of who organized it, which we dutifully filled out together to have the correct answers.

THEN they ignored the "whodunnit part"

I thought I told you this last night already :P

I may've been distracted by other stuff in game and missed that part. I hope they add a postscript to their news item, at least.

Here's a question – as a newb pirate (only been playing for a year, and only been pirating for a few months) I didn't get to participate in the last hulkageddon. Are we pointing these guys too? Or are we just firing without warp scrammers/disruptors? A reply would be appreciated seeing as how this starts in… oh… NAO :)

it's not a terribly bad idea to fit at least one of the dessies with a scram, though usually they do not even attempt to warp. might as well fit a point on one of the dessies to make SURE the kill does not run off!

The funny part is the news people make this out like the Miners could possibly avoid it, that somehow because you die you're assumed to be AFK. Try fitting ANY tank on a Mackinaw and still have your mining efficiency. CCP makes these paper thin ships easy to kill. Honestly, I don't blame these idiots for ganking easy targets. With the Insurance system setup to reward this, who wouldn't do it?

Don't ever expect to see any of these gutterlickers in anything resembling a fight worth bragging about. It's defenseless targets, or masturbation with mom's picture for their evening enjoyment. And that goes for more than just the CCP devs that designed these crystal shelled mining craft.

Don't knock this 'u mad' reply. It is, after all, the representation of top shelf Pirate intelligence. It took Helicity probably three to four years of intense schooling to figure out how to string that many syllables together.

Please, dont stop. I visit these forums of mid 40 somethings that still live at home in Mommy's basement for my entertainment to see how they try to make something useful of themselves. Post more, Helicity. It is a rather sick humor, tbh, but Humanity has always had a fixation with studying those lower on the evolutionary chain.

    Carry on.
