Helicity clutched her head as she tried in vain to navigate the CBD station in Gulmorogod, the massive headache induced by the long trip here and the large volumes of liquor consumed to celebrate the First Annual Python Extended Vacation did not help.
While the station was of the same make as her now familiar home, the mercantile club bureau in Aurohunen, the internal layout was radically different, resulting in a bit of an embarrasement as she bumped a local dignitary’s shuttle off her “normal” parking spot with the sleek form of her Crusader.
The local comms had erupted with indignant cries and empty threats that were quickly silenced by pointing her laser turrets at the tiny form of the howling dignitary standing on the dock.
The new location was excellent, access to a decent enough market for supplies and just one jump away from the infamous pirate haven of Amamake.
Takings thus far had been quite generous, and it sure was a lot more fun to be able to fly her swift crusader without too much risk of running into a fleet of cruisers and battleships.
She’d even wandered into the protean depths of wormhole space and laid waste to a mining camp and their high-tech probing vessel, leaving the escape pods of the miners stranded a billion lightyears from home.

As she sat back in her leather chair (couldn’t leave it behind) and ordered some new ship parts, she could already feel her headache subsiding… Life is good when on vacation.
Her order completed she turned her chair around, back to the fresh canvas and her paints… Shae Tiann had accepted her painting challenge, and she did not want to come up short!
(Stay tuned for next thursday, the deadline of issue 1 of the Helicity-Shae painting exercises!)
